About Me
My name is Adrian Barry . I am a qualified Carpenter & Joiner, a Registered Building Practitioner and have a Training and Assessment qualification which enables me to teach part time in TAFE , which I do . I am involved in teaching the Certificate 4 in Building and Construction , a preparatory course for registration as a building practitioner . In many cases a vocational step for a lot of tradespeople .
Over the years I have honed many skills and developed a number of interests as a direct result of my work in building. An enduring interest has been the potential in converting surplus or reclaimed timber into a quality item of household furniture that will provide the user with many years of satisfaction. The quality I refer to is a combination of the timber itself and my acquired skills and ingenuity applied to create something that is uniquely my own .
Along with my experience using recycled timber I have no hesitation manufacturing out of new timbers , especially Radiata Pine . This is a renewable, reliable and relatively inexpensive source of material .
But my main business activity stems from my building work which I love being involved in and will continue to be involved in .
